vidcon 2014 branding


VidCon is an annual youtube-gathering-turned-mega-convention held in anaheim, california.

That year, I was tasked with interpreting the logo in a new way, and creating an eye-catching visual style for the whole event.

I created a colour coded tile system. The blue tiles represented the 'creator' side of the convention, aimed at professional YouTubers and companies involved in the convention. The red tiles depicted the 'fan' side, filled with items that you'd associate with a regular convention-goer. Together they interwove and provided a nice busy backdrop for the simple white 3D logo.
